Biography

Dylan T. Leach believes that no matter the field of law the goal is to work diligently to find a client’s best resolution. Since joining Smith & Fawer, LLC in 2014, Dylan has achieved this for his clients primarily in the areas of business litigation, professional liability litigation, and trust, succession, and interdiction litigation. He has also led clients in the navigation of catastrophic injury litigation, complex insurance litigation, construction defect litigation, intellectual property litigation, and maritime litigation.

Dylan graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School, where he also aspired as a student attorney for the Tulane Civil Litigation Clinic. His honors further include the Cullen R. Liskow Award for the highest marks in Oil & Gas Law, the Admiralty and Maritime Law Certificate, a Dean’s Scholarship and the BarBri Max Nathan Honorarium for public-interest work.

Before Tulane Law, Dylan earned his undergraduate degree with a major in Philosophy and a minor in geology from Oberlin College in Ohio. There, outside of the classroom, Dylan applied the logic and reasoning skills from class to leadership roles within the self-governing student co-operative association, helping classmates navigate health inspections of dining halls, relations with its landlord, and internal self-governance issues to accomplish its mission of providing student-run housing and dining facilities.

He is licensed to practice law throughout the state of Louisiana and in its federal courts. Outside of the office, Dylan enjoys life with his wife Kelly, their two daughters, and their two dogs.
