Michelle Malasovich
SENIOR PARALEGAL/HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
A life-long resident of the New Orleans area, Michelle has risen to senior paralegal and human resources director since joining Smith & Fawer, LLC in 2002 as a legal assistant.
Michelle has great and varied experience in different practice areas including insurance defense, medical malpractice, estate planning, and domestic relations.
PARALEGAL
Tina Torregano is a dedicated paralegal who joined Smith & Fawer, LLC in 2025, bringing three and a half years of experience in insurance defense.
Tina earned her Bachelor of General Studies from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2003. Tina is committed to providing compassionate efficient support to the firm’s clients.
John Scott
PARALEGAL
A native of New Orleans, John Scott joined Smith & Fawer, LLC in 2026 as a paralegal. A graduate of the University of Mississippi, John earned his Bachelor’s degrees in History and Psychology in 2026, bringing a strong foundation in research, analysis, and communication to his work.
John is committed to providing diligent, detail-oriented support to the firm’s attorneys and clients.
Maggie Carter
OPERATIONS OFFICER
Maggie Carter joined the firm in 2017 as the Firm Operations Officer. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Accounting degree and Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Maggie is committed to providing excellence to the firm and its clients.
Born and raised in New Orleans, she enjoys spending her free time with her family, traveling, and horseback riding.
